Let it Flow

Marketing and Advertisement, Publication, and Promotional Design.

The Challenge

Designing a promotional campaign to showcase some of the ventilation features within the GMAX helmets. Making quality and affordable helmets for the powersports industry, the brand was looking for a fresh new spin on advertising materials. While adhering to already established brand guidelines, the goal was to design eye-catching infographic ads, displays, and brochures that showcased airflow and ventilation features of several new helmet models.

Display Design

The largest part of the project were the a-frame displays for the team to set up at marketing events and trade shows. Using the blue to red color palette, I wanted to illustrate the cool to warm airflow in a high-tech feeling way. Nothing says badass like a sequence of glowing neon lines looking like they came straight out of Blade Runner. This was a simple and effective way to not only showcase the helmet exhausting hot air, but to also show where these vent channels are in the helmet.

Publication Design

The next step was to take what I had done for the displays and scale it down into a brochure. It was a fun opportunity to utilize the same style for different applications. The added benefit of the brochure was the ability to dive into the nitty-gritty details and leave the consumer something tangible to take with them; something to help them get behind the brand and be part of it.
